North Dakota

Sens. Kent Conrad and Byron Dorgan:

Kent Conrad and Byron Dorgan have taken part in the classic Potomac two-step of telling their constituents one thing in North Dakota and doing another thing back in Washington, D.C.  Their double-speak has not gone unnoticed by voters in North Dakota and now it looks like they may take this double-speak on health care reform one step further by voting for government-run health care before voting against it.  Politicians cannot have it both ways – just ask John Kerry.  North Dakotans can spot a phony politician when they see one and they know that any vote to move the Democrats' health care bill forward is a vote for a government-run health care experiment.

Call Senator Kent Conrad  at (202) 224-2043 and Senator Byron Dorgan today at (202) 224-2551 let them know:

  • Any vote to move the Senate Democrats' health care bill forward is a vote for President Obama's government-run health care experiment at a time when unemployment has jumped to double-digits nationwide.
  • If Senator Conrad or Dorgan votes to move the Democrats' health care bill forward, they are voting to raise North Dakotans' health care costs, taxes, and premiums, all while cutting Medicare for the 106,005 beneficiaries in the state.
  • The taxpayers of North Dakota can see through these parliamentary procedure games.  They don't want flip floppers.
  • North Dakotans want someone to keep the government from coming between them and their doctor.
