Arkansas

Sens. Mark Pryor & Blanche Lincoln:

Sens. Mark Pryor & Blanche Lincoln have taken part in the classic Potomac two-step of telling their constituents one thing in Arkansas and doing another thing back in Washington, D.C. Their double-speak has not gone unnoticed by voters in Arkansas and now it looks like the Senators may take this double-speak on health care reform one step further by voting for government-run health care before voting against it. Politicians cannot have it both ways – just ask John Kerry. Arkansans can spot phony politicians when they see them and they know that any vote to move the Democrats' health care bill forward is a vote for a government-run health care experiment.

Call Senator Mark Pryor today at (202) 224-2353 and Senator Blanche Lincoln at (202) 224-4843 to let them know:

  • Any vote to move the Senate Democrats' health care bill forward is a vote for President Obama's government-run health care experiment at a time when unemployment has increased by nearly 11% since Obama took office.
  • If Senators Pryor or Lincoln vote to move the Democrats' health care bill forward, they are voting to raise Arkansans' health care costs, taxes, and premiums, all while cutting Medicare for the 505,634 beneficiaries in the state.
  • Even Governor Beebe believes that President Obama's health care experiment will add $205 million to an already strained Arkansas budget.
  • The taxpayers of Arkansas can see through these parliamentary procedure games. They don't want flip floppers.
  • Arkansans want someone to keep the government from coming between them and their doctor.
